We are here for you...

Care and support for your family

  • In the face of your illness, you and your family may be feeling overwhelmed. You could also be unsure how the hospice can help. Our Welcome mornings will open your eyes to the support and memory making opportunities available to you all. This gentle introduction will help you discover how the warm embrace of the hospice can inspire you and your family to live every moment.

  • A life-limiting diagnosis deeply impacts the entire family. It’s hard to talk to anyone about your feelings when you could all be experiencing the same unspeakable pain. Our programme of support and events are tailored specifically for couples and families, including children. We offer a range of outdoor therapy alongside art therapies and support through play to help families connect. They will allow you the space to communicate and feel held, while creating precious memories together, as a family.

Our support is here for you for the whole journey. We offer individual and group bereavement sessions alongside a drop in ‘Elevenses’ catch up for bereaved families, including children, to stop by and feel wrapped up by our team.

  • Who do you talk to when your world has been turned upside down? Many people feel they are burdening their loved ones by sharing their inner most thoughts and fears. We’ll be here offering a safe place to talk. To validate your emotions and enable you all to feel lighter in the moments that matter.

  • The journey through a life-limiting illness may seem, at times, like a lonely one. Being part of groups and events at the Hospice, can help you to recognise you are not alone. Our peer support groups will wrap you up in a safe community where you can share your experiences and feel comforted and heard. We also help you to maintain your physical wellbeing, social contact and sense of purpose and achievement for as long as possible. We hope you will find the perfect fit for you within our programme.
