Managing Headaches
I wanted to share this short film with you in the hope it will help relieve tension and stress that may be causing headaches. When tension builds in our neck muscles and scalp it can lead to headaches, this can be caused simply by holding our head in a certain position for too long, maybe our PC monitor needs adjusting or the television is not quite at the right angle. Working from home, has been a real learning curve for me, making sure that my laptop and the chair I use are in the right position, little changes can really help reduce tension build-up and so reduce headaches.
Also looking at our nutrition and wellbeing can help, asking ourselves simple questions like, am I drinking more coffee than usual? Would changing to decaf help? Am I drinking enough water? Am I getting enough sleep? All these aspects in our daily lives can impact the likelihood of us having a headache, maybe take a minute and think of any possible factors that you can change.
Have a go at the massage and see if this can help.
PLEASE DO NOT CARRY OUT THIS MASSAGE TECHNIQUE IF YOU HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH A GLIOBLASTOMA OR BRAIN METASTASIS, OR HAVE SUFFERED A STROKE OR EPILEPSY; SEEK ADVICE FROM YOUR GP OR MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL BEFORE ENGAGING WITH ANY FORM OF MASSAGE TO THE HEAD.
Much love and best wishes
Mandy
