A group of ladies from holidaycottages.co.uk are proud to be joining 1,000 other women on the Tarka Trail this May as part of North Devon Hospice’s infamous ladies' walk, Nightwalk.
Returning on Saturday 17 May 2025, Nightwalk will see women and girls from across North Devon come together for a night of fun, memory-making, and fundraising as they stride under the stars in support of local hospice care. This group of trailblazers will take on this moonlit march from Bideford to Barnstaple as the sun sets and the stars appear, walking either three or 10 miles to raise vital sponsorship for North Devon Hospice to help care for local patients and families facing cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
Serena Pearce, Regional Communities Manager at holidaycottages.co.uk, who are one of several Nightwalk sponsors this year, shared her team’s excitement to be part of the event again in 2025. “holidaycottages.co.uk is proud to sponsor North Devon Hospice’s Nightwalk, a truly inspiring event that brings our community together to support such a vital charity,” said Serena. “We deeply value the incredible work the hospice does to provide compassionate care to those affected by life-limiting illnesses.”
“Nightwalk is a special event – it’s a night filled with solidarity, entertainment, and the shared goal of making a difference,” Serena added. “Our teams always love walking the trail and seeing what’s new each year, surrounded by our friends and other women passionate about the work the hospice does. It creates such a unique atmosphere that’s both uplifting and humbling. We’re honoured to play a part in supporting North Devon Hospice’s vital mission.”
Every pound raised from Nightwalk will help care for local people and ensure that their final days are filled with dignity and peace, as explained by North Devon Hospice’s Head of Fundraising, Lizzie Hanks.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who makes Nightwalk possible, including all of our brilliant sponsors. Whether you’re walking in memory of someone who was cared for by the hospice or are wanting to make sure that others in our community receive the vital care and support we all deserve at the end of our lives, your fundraising means the world,” said Lizzie. “I want to encourage every woman in North Devon to join us for this fabulous celebration and feel empowered to make a difference – we got this, girls! Be part of the fun and register now to make the most of our Early Bird offer – you can also grab your limited edition Nightwalk t-shirt to wear on the evening with pride!”
