One-to-one bereavement support

One-to-one bereavement support

Time and space to express yourself

One-to-one bereavement support is available either as phone support or zoom calls as well as face to face appointments on site.

We are here to support family and carers after someone close to them has died from a life-limiting illness.  If you have lost someone close to you, our counsellors can offer one-to-one support where you can talk openly and confidentially about what is happening to you.
This support will be available to you for as long as it is helpful to you, and you are always welcome to come back to us for more support; the door is always open. For example, there are some case where we have supported bereaved children and continued to support them all the way into adulthood.

How to be referred
If you, or the person you lost, received support from North Devon Hospice during their illness, you may be able to make a self-referral; please call the Supportive Care team for advice on 01271 347225.  Otherwise, please ask your GP to make a referral to North Devon Hospice.

Service location
Bereavement support is available at our main site at Deer Park, on the outskirts of Barnstaple, and also at The Long House, our outreach centre in Holsworthy.
