Your time will make a world of difference.
We know that time is the most precious commodity that someone can offer. Every hour that you're able to give will make a real difference to the lives of our patients and families, when they need us the most.
There are so many different volunteering opportunities. Here’s just a flavour of how our amazing team currently help us.
By giving just 4 hours of your time every week to our retail team, you could help raise £188 worth of vital care to ensure someone in our communtiy can die in comfort, dignity and free from pain.
Your time could help us to create a delicious breakfast for a patient, tend to our wildlife haven, or offer a warm welcome to our visitors and families. Talk to us about how you can make a difference.
Your time will allow us to continue to offer a comfortable home from home for our patients and their families. Wrapping them up in our hospice hug with a cuppa, a chat or just a hand to hold in the dark.
Supporting people spiritually and emotionally is a huge part of what we do at the hospice. We believe in wrapping people up and supporting them through the toughest times, whether that's patients and carers or children and grandchildren, we are there for the whole family for as long as needed.
Supporting our care teams to empower our patients to stay within their own homes, safely and comfortably. Offering a listening ear and a reassurance to families at a time when they need us most.
Join our fun and vibrant team to help raise essential funds in whatever way suits you best - from baking cakes to cheering on our marathon runners, we have something for everyone. We are always looking for amazing Ambassadors to join our Fundraising team, if you are passionate about the hospice and can spare a few hours, then we would love to hear from you.
Share your life and work skills to influence strategic direction and decision making within our incredible organisation, while ensuring local patients and families receive the best care possible.
The best part of volunteering is when you hear the patients laughing. Seeing the change in them from when they arrive at the Hospice to when they go home is so rewarding.
It doesn’t matter how you support us, whether it’s helping us raise money or providing support to our patients, every single one of our volunteers make a real difference to our patients and their families at their most vulnerable time. Simply, we can’t do it without you.
