Marking one year of providing even more care and support in the Holsworthy area
It has been one year since North Devon Hospice opened the doors of its first ever outreach centre, The Long House in Holsworthy. To mark the first birthday of the building, we held an open day inviting the whole community to come and see just what a difference has been made in 12 short months.
We have provided over 1,200 sessions of care from The Long House since opening in September 2015. This ranges from one-to-one counselling and complementary therapies, to family craft days and nurse consultations.
It's safe to say that The Long House, and the nurses, counsellors and therapists who actually provide the much-needed care and support, have made a real impact in the community of Holsworthy.
