Every single one of our volunteers helps us provide outstanding care and support to the community of North Devon who are impacted by a life limiting illness.   We really value the time all our volunteers give to us and you will be making a real difference to our patients and their families at their most vulnerable time.

Would you like to help support the hospice by giving just 4 hours a week and becoming a Book Scanner in our busy warehouse team?

This role involves so much more than just scanning books! You will be part of a team that can help identify current, ever-changing book trends, finding the right route for each item to ensure that we maximise our revenue and seeking out those gems that could be hiding in a pile of books!

In our warehouse our dedicated team receive a large number of books daily and it is a team effort to process the generous donations that we receive. It can be a fast-paced environment involving some lifting, twisting within the role. We pride ourselves on only offering for sale items that are of a high quality that will either be on display in our shops, sold via our eCommerce department or Shopiago.  This takes a lot of effort, attention to detail and a passion for treasure hunting!
