How does the hospice compare to previous jobs?:
Being able to give people the very best care and know we are making a difference to the people we care for is all I have ever wanted as a nurse. We can be creative, go the extra mile for people, are involved in decisions and supported, which is something I have not experienced much in my career before joining the Hospice.

How does the hospice support you at work?:
Working as part of a team is important to me and I have certainly felt part of the team from day one. Conversations have been open and honest and everyone is absolutely here for the right reasons. It is very fulfilling to have a sense of purpose and share that commonality with the others I work with.

I can really get to know a person, provide the right level of comfort for them and make a difference in the care we deliver without question. We get the time to know people as individuals and not just 'patients'.

How does the hospice support you at work?:
I have the flexibility to work in a way that fits the needs and demands of the role. This suits my working style and allows me to deliver my work more efficiently. The Hospice also encourages me to liaise with other departments to understand in more detail what their roles involve and how that works with mine.
